Introducing IWJ/CKS
Introducing IWJ/CKS

We are proud to introduce Interfaith Worker Justice of Central Kansas (IWJ/CKS). IWJ/CKS is an official project of Global Faith in Action and a chapter of the national IWJ organization. It is the IWJ mission, as a network of people of faith, to call “upon our religious values in order to educate, organize and mobilize the religious community in the Unite States on issues and campaigns what will improve wages, benefits, and conditions for workers, and give voice to workers, especially workers in low-wage jobs.”
Led by Executive Director Rev. David Hansen and Co-director Dr. Gary Blaine, Central Kansas Chapter of IWJ is committed to advocating for workplace justice. A couple of their major goals for 2012 include bringing together activists in the labor and faith communities around important issues such as wage theft and immigration, as well as promoting and supporting campaigns like Faith Advocates for Jobs and Labor in the Pulpits on the Bimah and Minbar.
We encourage you to find out more about Interfaith Worker Justice efforts by visiting www.iwj.org. If you are interested in supporting this cause in a monetary way, please send donations to Global Faith In Action designated for IWJ.
