Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Events

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man who dreamed of equality, a man who understood the importance of compassion for all people. This is the weekend our nation, as a whole, celebrates his life and works.

There are many events planned around the city here in Wichita. We encourage you to participate in them.

The Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Corporate Award Breakfast with guest speaker Rev. Tyrone Gordon.

Sunday, January 15th
The Kansas African American Museum Presents The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at the Orpheum Theater.

Monday, January 16th
MLK Celebration sponsored by The Greater Wichita Ministerial League, with guest speaker Brother Weems.
