In less than 45 minutes over 1,500 volunteers packaged enough food to serve 479,034 meals. View the commemorative video below. The meals will serve 800 Haitian students each day for over one year. Representatives of the Guiness World Record were on site and provided certificates because we broke the world record, but even better, school children and their families in Lambert and Borde, Haiti will not go to school hungry. Even this summer, when school is out of session, children are receiving food, thanks to caring Kansans. We are indebted to three organizations, Rotary Club of Wichita, Volunteer Kansas and NUMANA, plus Channel 12 and 104.5 FOX for making this happen.
